Thank you to Kim and Victor from the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary for coming to Suamico School for our "V Is For Vulture" presentation.   They taught students and their families about how essential vultures are to maintaining the health and beauty of our environment. Victor was found as a juvenile with damage to his wing and now the sanctuary is taking care of him.  

Suamico students in grades K, 1, 2, and 3 recently participated in a Lego Robotics Workshop led by HSSD Gifted and Talented teachers. Working with a partner or group, students were challenged to follow plans to build machines. As they put together the plan and modified them, students were using their creative and critical thinking skills. The students learned the value of collaboration as well as flexible thinking as they worked their way through the workshop. Students in grade 4 will be participating in a full day workshop at the end of May. Enjoy looking at some of the pictures from this special event.  

We will work together with families and community to ensure that our students have the knowledge and skills to succeed in a changing world.
